Thanks to the magic of my Dish Network DVR, I rewind, and put it in to slow motion. Sure enough, Food Network is allowing mcdonalds to run subliminal advertisements in the middle of their programming! Amazing!

Please watch the Frontline documentary "Sick Around the World" some of it is on Youtube, but the series is on the PBS website. What is important and relevant about it is that it compares the strengths & weaknesses of the health care systems of fellow capitalistic democracies Germany, Japan, UK, etc From this I learned so much more about the debate than what our corrupt politicians have us to believe. I feel a solution will come from this type of discussion, not the current inferior proposals

I hate theses commercials. I you appose universal health care fine but don't do it by tarnishing Canadian health care. The commercial itself is saying that the US should stick with privatized health care because the convenience of a select few is more important that the lives of most. It states that a little longer wait is wait is worse then the death of millions. I know that universal health care has its flaws, but in my opinion is better than the current system.

The story goes as follows. The best Health Service is widely recognized to be the German one. They say for example that Swedish doctors are the best. Once I was in central Sweden and had an infection in a finger (not a great emergency). I went into the Falun Lassarett and waited for 2 hours and the doctor never appeared. Doctors are "prima donna" maybe or I was unlucky. It is hard to draw conclusions. Things are not consistent, but the German insurance state system appears to be the best.

I use to be a full on windows user but I broadened my os to linux too, I found myself very happy with Ubuntu, then I got a mac mini for iPhone development and I will safely say that Mac OS X is my favorite OS by far. I still use windows on my netbook (I tried installing hackintosh software but that didnt go too well). Windows 7, linux Ubuntu, and Mac OS X are all great OS but OSX feels more homey and fluid when I use it, I also noticed I have a lot less frustration with Macs

Speaking of viruses...last night I received one that takes over your computer and gives you approximately 2 minutes before it shuts you down!! its got a timer ontop of a blue screen (with black letters). Also, it has two words that entices you to type into the box before it shuts down and then wants you to hit the "ok" button(???) I didn't and woudn't. On any PC I've owned in the past, I've rarely gotten viruses, simply because I don't download applications that promise me they'll fix the 500000(to the power of 5) problems I apparently have with my registry or file-share off lime-wire. At saying that... I do love my mac, I'm not under the illusion that viruses won't become a problem.. I just trust Apple to handle it much better than Microsoft have failed to (ala User Account Control).

Very true, and I concur. I have had a brand new imac for a month or two now, and my mac runs as good as the day I bought it. Hands down. No viruses, no "paid for" virus protection, nothing. These people only say these things because they are accustomed to pc's. They have never used a mac and will not be open to the experience. Their loss. As far as I know, hackers use macs for the purpose of making viruses among their daily activities. But in all of this I say GO MAC! keep up the great work.

I've been working on a Mac for years now and never got any problems with it. No such thing as a virus in the form of a picture as people said below. If os x hold 90% of the market share it most definitely would have a bigger number of malwares and bugs found. However, they don't. And as by now I feel 100x safer on a Macbook with no anti-virus than on a HP with the latest and most updated software.

I agree, hackers want to focus on hacking windows computers since more computers use windows, hackers attack them because it affects more people, ans that's what the hackers want. If mac became more popular, hackers will focus more on macs and it will have the same numbers of active virus as windows computers, and the numbers of active viruses for windows will decrease, then microsoft can advertise about their OS being virus-safe, then the cycle restarts as people comes back to windows.

No, I meant it pales in comparison to XP, people were pretty satisfied with XP, then Vista came along, and many realised they in fact preferred XP. Partially because it mimics Apple OS and partially because it 'badly' mimics Apple OS. At least if it was exactly the same in every aspect, yeah, vista would get some slack, but I wouldn't despise it as much. I have yet to encounter anyone who has gone apple and returned back to Microsoft systems or regular laptops period (unless by force)

As time went by, new hardware came out that 2000 had problems with because the drivers were 3rd party and buggy. It wont be different with Win7. Just wait until new hardware comes out after the Win7 release and see if your experience is the same. BSOD's are in the genes that is Windows. "2.75gb" that isn't correct. 32-bit windows has a 32-bit address space, so could theoretically address up to 4gb of ram. this is usually lower though because the OS needs to address other parts of the system, and other memory locations, such as the ram on a graphics card. This is why people get different amounts of ram depending on their configuration.
